Silver Stamping and soldering Workshop

In relaxing surroundings explore age old techniques of silversmithing adding your own personal touch through stamping.

This workshop  covers the initial steps of the Wrap Ring workshop , sizing and calculating material required, then developing into a joined ( soldered) ring.

Elements covered:-

*How to size your ring.

*Calculate silver required

*Preparing and using a piercing saw

*Stamping on a base metal bangle

*Designing the words/ patterns to be stamped.

*Surface preperation for stamping

*Preparing the ring for soldering

*Soldering

*Forming and fitting the ring

*Finishing and Polishing

You will be introduced to a wide  variety of tools and equipment.

Following an introduction to the work area you will soon be immersed in developiing your design.

Refreshments are available throughout. Please advise of any special requirements.

Please bring reading glasses if usually worn (Magnigying lenses availableif forgotten!)
